I have tried to keep on track for years now and always fail and get lazy. I work full time Plus and I am exhausted after work to keep habits. I have followed the clutterbug, clean mama, and my favorite is the secreatslub with zone cleaning. I am not that accountable in my home, work yes but boy do I fail with home cleaning and exercise.

Lovely video..I also stopped buying books from bookstores.they are expensive 😢 rather I buy them from our local spca charity shop and then after I read them I donate it back to them.

Yay! Thank you. I find meals and shopping are a big deal to my family. They like a clean house but this seems to really impact how their days go the most I’ve noticed. I get most overwhelmed by the constant need to feed my family well and I want to do a good healthy job but the budget is HARD. Healthy can be challenging on a budget. But also I can’t think of breakfasts and lunches.

It's amazing advise all in one video. I love breakdown of room by room. I saw it last night and just woke up today at 6am energised to set up plan today so complete it over a few days. My daughter is moving to University and my son moving out in 2 weeks so anything i dont use at kitchen or duplicated they will take with them. Also that video remided me if i need to move to my dream home one day your video shows what I should move with me. Thank you so much for great inspiration.

No, we also use our hand mixer to make mashed potato. For a long time I stored these rarely used items (potato masher, rarely used knives, pasta fork etc) in a large (rarely used) baking dish in the cupboard at the bottom of our range, but when we were preparing to sell and move I decluttered a lot. We're still settling into the new house but I may have to do another declutter. This list will be a great reference, thanks.

Glass table. Yesss! I bought a beautiful ikea table for my living room when my husband and I first lived together in Europe. It looked gorgeous in the show room. Years later I’m still waiting for the dang thing to “accidentally” break so we can get a new one. 😂 And the worse part is it’s still in one piece 9 years later after moving back to the US. I’m literally cleaning it every day. It’s dreadful!! So I highly recommend NEVER. And we don’t have kids either!

I stopped mowing the lawn every week to keep it looking good. Now I harvest it a few times a year to provide supplement feed for my goats, pigs, and chickens.

I can create the habits but living with 3 messy kids and a spouse, I’m losing my damn mind. I organize things and they just throw things wherever there is a space for it, no one else cares like I do 😫😭

I love how simple your kitchen looks. Even the cupboards look like they can breathe. My home is getting there slowly. If anything there is some stuff I want to disappear but it’s my parents who will move out shortly anyways. There is kitchen appliances my brother wants that I need to find space for. He really really wants a rice cooker and I’ve been saying no a lot but it’s been two years and now that I know how much he REALLY wants one, I’m all for it. There’s things I’m going to let go of as well like cooking trays, misc items that are bulky in order to give him the space he wants. Items on my kitchen are Microwave, toaster, electric tea kettle and the air frier. It seems like a lot but we use these items so much everyday I’d be annoyed to bring it out. Especially the air frier, electric tea kettle and toaster. Microwave is optional, but it’s so heavy to move.

I declutter quite often but I recently moved homes and was shocked when I realised that sometimes things have a place and time. I had kept hold of things that had a place in my old home that don’t have a place in new one which were stressing me out because I couldn’t find space for them! Your child's bedroom windows need restraints on them so they can not open wide enough for your child to fall out. A handyman could fit them for you. Babies can be more acrobatic than you expect. 😊

Thank you for this video. I managed to do so many things tonight telling myself "I will improve this by just 1%".

I often give away items for free on FB market place, since, it can take longer to sell them. It also gives someone else the chance to have something very gently used and have the joy of the item without having to spend money. Even if they are a re-seller, I remind myself I can afford to declutter, I can afford to give this item away. If I lost or broke this item beyond repair, I could find a replacement in my home or in a store. Decluttering is a luxury and I am grateful I can partake.
